This policy explains how information is handled in the app "Not Now Okay?".

1. Information We Collect and Use

1.1 Information Stored on the Device

The app primarily stores the following information on the user’s device.

This information is used to provide timer functions, session history, shortcuts, and persistent settings.

  • Task names, work durations, and break durations
  • Session history, per-task aggregates, and shortcut information
  • Settings such as sound, vibration, notifications, and character selection
  • Terms of service consent state
  • Completion state for the iOS focus mode guide
  • A device installation ID generated inside the app

1.2 Information Sent Externally for AI Suggestions

When the user invokes the AI suggestion feature, the following information is sent to a Cloudflare Worker.

This information is used to generate AI suggestions, reduce abuse, and provide the feature reliably.

Please do not enter names, contact details, or other sensitive information into task fields or free-form inputs.

  • Task description
  • Summary information from prior history
  • Time-of-day information
  • Selected character tone
  • Device installation ID
  • Firebase App Check token

1.3 Information Sent to Firebase Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics to improve the product. Event data about the following actions may be sent.

Analytics data may include identifiers generated inside the app. The app does not send raw task names to Firebase Analytics.

  • Task creation
  • Timer start and stop
  • Session save
  • Share screen open and share completion
  • Break-end notification delivery and tap
  • Pin creation and automatic pin replacement
  • Character switching

2. External Services

The app uses the following external services or operating-system features. Processing may also occur under each provider’s own policies and terms.

  • Cloudflare Workers / Workers AI: AI suggestion generation
  • Firebase App Check: device authenticity verification
  • Firebase Analytics: usage analysis
  • iOS / Android notifications: break-end notifications
  • iOS / Android share sheets: share card distribution

3. Retention Periods

3.1 Information Stored on the Device

Tasks, history, and settings stored on the device may remain until the user deletes the app or clears its app data through the operating system.

3.2 AI Suggestion Caching

AI suggestion results may be cached for up to 24 hours to stabilize responses under the same conditions.

3.3 Usage Control Data

To manage AI feature usage and discourage abuse, the server may retain the following data. Some items do not currently have an automatic deletion deadline.

  • UTC date
  • Device installation ID
  • Estimated input token count
  • Estimated output token count

4. Permissions and Device Features

The app may use the following permissions and device features. Users can change or revoke these permissions through their operating-system settings.

  • Notification permission
  • Accelerometer
  • Android Do Not Disturb related notification controls

5. Sharing Features

When the user uses a share feature, the app generates a temporary image on the device and hands it off to the share destination selected by the user.

6. Choices Available to Users

Users can influence information handling in the following ways. The app does not provide account registration and does not require users to register names, addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers.

  • Avoid using the AI suggestion feature
  • Change notification, sound, vibration, and flip-related settings in the app
  • Change notification permissions and Do Not Disturb related settings in the operating system
  • Delete the app or clear its app data on the device

7. Children

This policy does not independently promise age-specific legal disclosures. Age ratings and store declarations follow the actual publication settings used when the app is released.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when features change, external services change, or legal or platform requirements change. Material changes will be announced through the app, public pages, store listings, or similar channels.
