Product story

A focus flow for getting started

"Not Now Okay?" is built around a task-first pomodoro flow for the days when getting started is the hardest part. The user writes a task, receives AI-suggested work and break durations, then moves into focus through a conversational flow in three clear steps.

  • Users decide what to work on before the timer starts
  • AI suggestions can be used as-is or adjusted to match the user's pace
  • Choose shorter or longer sessions, such as 10, 25, or 50 minutes

Cute mascots make focus feel easier

From the first suggestion to the start message and completion note, the mascot stays with the user in a gentle conversational flow. Switching between girl and boy tones lets the experience match the user's mood for the day.

  • Girl feels bright and soft, while boy feels calm and gentle
  • AI suggestions arrive in the selected mascot's tone
  • Completion and interruption messages stay kind, making it easier to come back

Focus and reflection that are easier to sustain

The app keeps focus sessions easy to resume after backgrounding and helps users move back into work after breaks. History views show focus time and task totals by day, week, and month, making small progress easier to notice.

  • Very short sessions stay out of history, keeping records easier to read
  • History makes frequent tasks easier to find and restart
  • Completion and interruption results can be shared with themed cards

A soft look that makes returning feel easy

Rounded timers, soft colors, and expressive share cards make the app feel less rigid than a typical focus timer. Whether the user wants a serious session or a small step forward, the experience stays approachable.

  • Task setup, focus mode, completion, history, and sharing all keep the same tone
  • Share cards span three themes: pop, cute, and cool
  • Copywriting is emotional and designed to celebrate small wins
